And in 2021, the Moon is conquering us right back, in the shape of a young angel named Luna.
I’m Mark, a Floridan sci-fi nerd and the loving boyfriend of Andreina, and luckily for us, the moon chose us to be the parents of this angel. As you can imagine, we started counting every second since we got the news, and the expected date as of now (which we can’t stress enough how much we’re excited for) is April 14th, 2021.
The name Luna comes from Roman origins: people back then used it to refer to the goddess of the moon. She was often seen driving a white chariot across the sky and was viewed as a brave, and independent spirit, which makes it the perfect name for us, as Mama is Latin and papa is a big space fanatic.
Our excitement and anticipation for Luna led us to document every stage she goes through. At 12 weeks you can see our angel was almost the size of a lime... Then, at 20 weeks, she grew into a good-sized fig. Upon arriving, our Luna will hopefully be the fully-grown Melon she’s meant to be! You can check out her journey here. We want everyone to be part of the amazing ride we are going through!
